Gwynnie Bee Q&A
Q:
What is the turn around for receiving new items?
It can take up to a week - which is almost too long. There have been a couple times i have considered canceling my membership because it takes too long to receive new items

As soon as they're notified that a bag is in the mail it takes about 3 business days to get the next one.

I had been a fan of Gwynnie Bee, but they have been an utter failure this holiday season. Like a lot of people, I have a Christmas party every day of this week. I knew holiday party week was coming, so I returned my last items early (Dec. 10&11). It's now Dec. 19th. I have not received a new shipment, nor has a the next shipment shipped out. With the weekend and holiday coming up, I think it is realistic to guess that I will not have had a Gwynnie Bee item in hand from Dec. 11 until Dec. 26. That is, literally, the two weeks of the year when this service would provide the most value to me. Total disappointment. Epic failure for holiday dresses.

Q:
Why are there so many negative reviews
Because the service is going downhill. Fewer articles of clothing are available. Turn around times keep getting slower and slower.

I've been with Gwynee Bee since 2017. I looked and browsed the site to get understandings of how it works for a full year. Since joining I've had a wonderful experience, customer service and great clothing. Your experience will only be a good as your understanding of how this site works.

Q:
are most of the bad reviews by women who wear larger sizes?
I am not sure what this question means. GB is a site that markets to a certain size range.

That is the population they serve. I really do not understand your point?

Q:
I'm an 8-10 and only wear modest dresses (higher necklines so no hint of cleavage, longer hems (at least 44" dresses and 24" skirts), and at least a short-sleeve or longer... I looked around but didn't see much. Will you get more things for people like me, or if not, can you recommend another site where I might give my business? Appreciate your help. Thank you. Love this concept!
If you dug around the site and didn't find like the current offerings, I would think that the service wouldn't be right for you. Really, not all that much is offered in 10 to start with. I use LeTote and they really don't have that many dresses to start with; I don't feel most of them are very modest. However, with GB, I know that I saw some modesty fashion bloggers who would post themselves in GB. Many of them had some very clever modifications for the dresses -- putting a shirt under something sleeveless, etc. I recommend you try searching for some modesty fashion bloggers to see if there are creative ways to make these services more useful!

GB does have clothing in size 10s so you can try that. That might work especially if you want to wear things on the looser rather than tighter end. Also, there are other services like Le Tote and Stitch Fix that you might be interested in looking at as they are closer to your size range. For short sleeve tops and dresses, I frequently pair them with a basic black or navy cardigan and dark tights for work.

I tend to wear similar things, and I've been a happy customer for years. I am larger, though, so the 8-10 may not be available in all their offerings

Q:
What happens to the clothing that is returned?
Asked and answered- Just want to add that if you ever receive clothing that is damaged, dirty, or has an odor, email customer service immediately. They responded promptly to me and gave me a couple of bonus garments. I think I had 5 garments all summer when I only paid for 3 which is decent.

The clothes are cleaned and then sent out to others. If you notify them of the return, they will supposedly start processing your next item, though in my experience the turn-around time was RIDICULOUSLY slow - 3-4 business days from notification before a new item was sent, and then a minimum of another 3-4 business days for shipping. I was really prompt about returning things that didn't work out often the same day that they arrived, and returning things I'd worn immediately afterward, and wasn't able to get more than 2-3 full turns out of my monthly fee. It was not worth the money, and the customer service team was terrible. And their billing policies are more than a little shady - beware the timing of the cancellation- cancelling means no more clothes are sent to you even if you have already paid for that full month (so basically, you have to wait until right before they bill you again), and any purchases you make from the shop can be cancelled when you cancel if they haven't shipped yet. I agree with other posters- there are better ways to manage your wardrobe that don't involve having to interact with a company this disreputable.

Don't trust them. It's a scam! Call customer service, they're in India. I reported them to the BBB and I was refunded money that they tried to scam from me by PayPal. Paypal rocks. They researched my issue and found Gwynnie Bee at fault. Buyer beware!
